Walking along the top is not often spectacular, but it's easy -- a good way to get to the gorges that lie hidden in the ranges.
There is an incredible variety of gorges in the Stokes Range. Most of the deeper ones contain permanent pools.
There are a number of interesting Aboriginal art sites dotted throughout the range.
If you come in the wet season, the waterfalls will be flowing. Wet season or dry, there is always plenty of time for swimming.
In the wet season, the land is green and lush. You might have to get your feet wet at this time of year.
On most trips, you don't need to carry your pack all the time. On all trips, you have quiet campsites next to beautiful pools.
